- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For tree work we are $65.00 per man hour. In the landscape maintenance area we charge $35.00 per man hour.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I came to Phoenix in July for a visit, loved the heat and decided to move here. After being held up at a 7-11 where I worked nights I decided I could get a job for minimum wage anywhere. I went to work for Badger Tree Service and learned natural pruning. Loved that too. In 1982 I started American Arborist.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Patience, it takes time to bring a tree or shrub from sickly to healthy. Transformation is a slow process of chemicals and corrective pruning.
