The cover letter is an interesting document to me as it is supposed to boast and boost one's resume. However, I have found that it is not as real and informative as an employer would hope to find, so here's a shout to honesty.
My name is Carmen, and I'm 23 years of age and have known no other life than the food/service industry and child care. I started out at 14 as a babysitter for my neighbors and did that for a few years, and then moved into the service arena. My love and passion for food was inspired by my mother who is a chef and has cooked and worked for the best of the best.
Love for food runs in the family. As you'll see on the enclosed resume, the majority of my experience is in the food service industry and offers you the opportunity to hire someone with not only customer service experience, but office as well.
I am someone who needs little to no training. I am proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and more. I have cared for children for a total of 11 years including helping with my two younger sisters and as I got older with my neighbor's children after school and on the weekends. I also regularly care for my two godsons who are 4 and 6.
I am a very detail-oriented and organized young lady. I work hard and I am efficient. A personal interview would allow me to demonstrate my talents, and at the same time, allow you to experience what a warm charismatic and driven young lady I am. I look forward to hearing from you so that we can schedule a meeting.
My hobbies consist of hard work, family and then friends. I love to read and write, swimming, movies, and walking my dog. I like to go camping, traveling, and surfing. I like to do arts and crafts with kids. I am a very active girl. I can keep up. I am awesome in general.
