Chef Anitra Cheree'

Introduction: The dream for Chef Anitra Cheree' began as a result of my past work history and a void that needed to be filled. As a former marketing manager for a managed health care company in Chicago, Illinois, my main responsibility was to evaluate trends and product strategies, promote new products and maintain client services. During the evaluation process, I realized how critical it was to make our marketing representatives stand out and did so by developing creative marketing strategies to make that happen. Additionally, my national sorority had always sought me out to help with planning for fundraising events. It was a task that came easy to me because I enjoy the process of making a vision become reality. From the success of the fundraising and creative marketing events I produced, a colleague suggested I apply for a position at Kellogg School of Management. Guessing that the work couldn't be much different from my current work, I snagged the position and worked there three years as their special events coordinator. From there, I was recruited to a university where my work as an event planner began to stand out. Soon, corporations and organizations began contacting me to produce their events. As a result, Chef Anitra Cheree' was born.
