FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken two CET's (continuing education training courses) in Working with Shelter Dogs and in Pet Sitting & Dog Walking. I also became certified as a veterinary assistant to help develop skills for handling and caring for animals in general.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a volunteer at animal shelters and veterinary hospitals I saw too many misbehaving dogs and owners who had no clue that they were contributing to the problem.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
For the most part I provide basic care services and training for minor to moderate problem behavior. Many clients work all day, leaving their pet alone at home with no human companionship, no real exercise, and no discipline. When they come home they are often so tired they are simply too tired to do more than feed them and clean up after them. When problems arise with behavior they don't understand why. I help eliminate those problems by providing their dog(s) with needed exercise and human interaction.
