FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Initially I was looking for a creative outlet while working as a computer programmer. The artistic aspects caught my attention. But then I eventually discovered the satisfaction of moving a new mom to tears of joy the first time she saw her pictures. I realized at that moment that I could never create a fancy enough computer report to move my business partners to tears of joy. Helping families is more important to me than any other aspect of being a photographer.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I specialize in family portraiture. My most common sessions are outdoors, helping a family document an important moment in their life. For the client's convenience, our newborn sessions are in the comfort of the family's home, and I love to be a part of helping a family welcome a new member into their lives. High school seniors often want to be outdoors and their parents usually want studio shots. So to accommodate both needs, I have created a unique portable backdrop that can be set up outdoors! Professional headshots are always at the sales professional's office to fit into their busy work schedule.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
For many daily picture snapping needs, most of us have cameras built into our cell phones and a few of us even have nice digital cameras. However, there are important milestone moments in a family's life that simply require an experienced professional to capture and help document the event. The seasoned full-time professional photographer knows how to use soft lighting techniques and natural poses. Every client wants me to remove 5 years and 10 pounds, and I specialize in doing exactly that. It's much more than having an expensive camera. Years of helping families document important moments has brought me to a point in my career where I can help you!
