I have been a student at USA Martial Arts for 2 years, and it truly has changed me. I came in shy, unwilling to stand up for myself in the face of confrontation, but knowing I needed to change that. I visited many schools, and chose this school because of the family like atmosphere, the way the students all supported each other, and the real life practical approach the instructors taught. I was looking for a school that taught practical self defense AND the whole philosophy of martial arts, not just the physical sport. What I got was SO much more than expected. I found a second family here, where the students and instructors truly care for and support each other, and I have become stronger, more confident, and more at peace with myself, knowing how to stand up for myself, and knowing how to handle anything life throws at me with calmness, confidence, and respect. Every aspect of my life has improved, and I've never been happier. My daughters have both joined, and I am already seeing an amazing transformation in them. They are more focused, more helpful, and having a blast while developing character.

John offers a program called VIPER at USA Martial Arts. I'm going to try to put into words how it helped me. I used to have nightmares NIGHTLY for months on end. Every night without fail, the same thing of being raped, abused, attacked ect... I would try to stay awake as long as possible, just so I wouldn't have these nightmares. Needless to say I was to say a bit nervous, would be an understatement. So I listened to him and made the decision to take part in VIPER. Now I've heard stories about the "real life" scenarios...yep, I thought...great I'm gonna be the one curled up in the fetal position in the corner. Before each scenario, I was freaking out. Why you may ask...FEAR! But come to find out...it was something I learned was just "unwarranted fear". The lessons I learned and the skills I was given...there are no words. To be able to tell the difference between "true fear" & "unwarranted fear"...WOW! To hear that I AM WORTH SOMETHING! I AM WORTH FIGHTING FOR! I mean the lessons just kept coming, too many to talk about here. Not only were some of my greatest "fears" put to rest, or squashed. But I was able to take what I've learned, and share it with those I love. I was even able to see the "warning RED FLAGS" in on of my friends. She found herself in a situation, and when she started to share with me what was going on...ALL of my teachings & skills came flooding into my head. Bottom line here, not only did I benefit from taking VIPER, but I was able to save one of my friends from a bad situation. She ended up taking VIPER the next time around, and was able to pass it on to her family. So you see it's not just what you learn for yourself, but it's an amazing gift for you to pass on to others. I am so very grateful for John Nottingham, and his dedication to share safety with others. He truly cares about what he does, and it shows. To pour ones heart into something they believe in, is just what he does. I mean anyone can stand up and "teach" something, but it is a rare gift to "teach" the way John does. He does have a gift, and for him to share it with others...priceless. Thank you for having the heart, passion, desire to do what you do, and love sharing with others. Again I believe that EVERYONE should take VIPER! If not for yourself, then for the ones around you that you love.

I am student under John Nottingham at USA Martial Arts and have been working with him for 2 1/2 years. I have visited other martial art schools in the past and none of them come close with being compared the quality of services which is offered by Master Nottingham He wants only the best for his students and has dedicated his life in order to provide us with the best possible training. His VIPER program not only has changed my life and thinking, but has also saved my life. I have taken VIPER twice and the second was as a refresher. Through VIPER I could see how easily I could have been a victim the past. I now have the knowledge and confidence of how to avoid potentially danger situations and survive them. It is my wish for the future to continue working with Master Nottingham and pass on to others what he has given me, which is life.

Master Nottingham is my Martial Arts teacher as well as my teacher for self defense and security training. I have worked as a security guard for around 2 years while running my own business during the day. In this time I handled security for many Raves. Young people out late on mind altering drugs can be a handful and the training I received from Master Notiingham was constantly being tested. Being taught early awareness of a situation was an enormous advantage in being able to squash a potentila threat. But when a situation had already gone bad the proper training and proper response I had learned saved me numerous times. What Master Nottingham teaches also that people in the business may not realize is how to avoid and handle the legal ramifications of a situaton. In todays society that is huge. There is much more to learning personal protection and security guard training/ Body gaurd training then jumping in head first without thinking. This is where USA Martial Arts and Nottingham Sword and Shield Security shines. Try rhe Viper course your life and how you look at a threat will be changed forever.

We offer a no obligation trial course to tour the facility, meet the instructors and try our services to see if they are a good fit. We do an assessment and goals review to best help students achieve what they want for themselves or their children.
