- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is straight forward; I have a "minimum" service call of $70.00 for the first hour plus the cost of materials and supplies used in the repair. In some instances the work will take less than an hour so the minimum is adjusted down. If the call is for a consultation or coaching the cost would be $45.00 for the first hour and thereafter.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The lion's share of my work is with older systems of which I am familiar. I have great support from my suppliers and manufacturer reps on those occasions when their help is needed. For all of my years of experience I will never say I've seen it all, there is always something more to learn and I am up to the task.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew into the landscape arena from my youth, starting in my own yard. Started a maintenance company, graduated to landscape design and installations and all that is entailed therein.
