- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In order to stay up with the lastest development, their are seminars, classes, reading materials that in most cases is required to continue your certification. Cruise lines have it, the professional travel support groups require it. Resorts and Hotesl such as Starwoods maintain a certification process for agents and there are standard of conduct that most be followed. Certfication allows agent access to material they would not be allowed to access without certification. Free advertisement information, notification of deals, sales, promotions.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common type of job would be working on a cruise for a client. All cruise lines are not the same and each offer something very different to your clients. Norwegian is consider whatever at anytime cruise line. Eat when you want, dress as you want within reason, just realax and the childrens program is one of the best. Carnival is considered a party line and maybe so, most of my clients think so. Mostly a younger set of travelers looking to booze and party. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are more conservative older clients. Silver Star, Cunard spare no expense for their clients and their clients tend to be more trend setters, upsale and looking for a lot of amenities.
