Goals
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: For me, yoga is not just about the body, it is about the whole person. I teach yoga as a spiritual path, and your body looks and feels better as a bonus! My background also includes study of yoga's sister sciences: Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology. The thing I like most about teaching yoga is getting to watch people shift into a calmer, more relaxed, more open version of themselves.

Rachel is a lovely person, inside and out. When teaching yoga she gives from the heart. Her skills are honed to the degree that her every move looks effortless. Rachel smiles from the moment class starts to the moment it ends. Her soft spoken voice is calming yet delightful. Because of my positive experiences in having Rachel as my instructor, I strive to incorporate yoga as a regular practice in my life. I highly recommend her as a yoga instructor!

Rachel was my Kundalini yoga instructor for two years and each class with her was a great learning experience for me. She has a wealth of knowledge about yoga and has a wonderful life philosophy. Since she moved away I am still trying to find a teacher that can take her place.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes, I love Continuing Education. In order to keep my Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level from Yoga Alliance (www.yogaalliance.org) current, I have a certain number of CEUs to earn every few years. During the latest cycle of renewal, I had exceeded my requirements by more than 30 hours.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When attending any type of yoga class, whether group or private, go by how you feel at the end of the class. If you feel more relaxed and have less tension in your body, that is a good teacher for you to continue to take lessons from.
