FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on the complexity of the assignment, this does not necessarily mean the size (GLA-gross living area) . Although, larger homes are typically more, it is the amount of research and analysis required to complete the assignment. Average homes run between $ 300 to $ 400.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We want to identify with the customer, both old and new to build a trust.. Our profession, like many, requires us to enter their home not only as a guest but as a critiquing entity. We visit every room, closet, cupboard, under floors/rugs and even the kitchen sink, We hope to make that as un=intrusive as possible and still do the job of valuation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Appraising is a second career, after retiring from the construction industry where I oversaw the daily operation of multi million dollar projects. I am a Civil Engineer by education. Becoming an appraiser required me to go back to school for two years (part-time) to get my License and an additional 12 months for my Certification- AZ #21580. Due to an ever changing market and environment, I take 30 hours of continuing education classes over a two year cycle..
