I purchased a 2nd Home in Arizona and was looking for an Interior Designer to assist me in furnishing an empty home. When I met with Joi, we discussed the style or "the feel" I wanted my home to have, she asked questions about my needs and wants, and my time frame. She assessed the tasks to be accomplished and helped me set a budget to complete the Interior. I hired Joi as my Designer, gave her a key to my home, and returned to my home in Canada. Joi created floorplans for each room and e-mailed them to me. Once I approved the layouts, she began e-mailing me pictures of furnishings that would fit into the rooms and pricing. Once approved, Joi purchased the furnishing for me. We went room- by-room and completed each room all within my Budget. Joi was at my home to accept the deliveries on my behalf and to make sure nothing was damaged. I returned to Arizona several months later and walked into a gorgeous home. All the furniture was place, beautiful art and photography hung on the walls, lamps were thoughtfully placed around the rooms, bedding dressed my bed, and Custom Window Coverings were installed. What was an empty patio now had a table with chairs and cushions ready for outdoor entertaining. My new Dining Table was set with accessories and there was even a Welcome Mat greeting me at my Front Door. It was beyond my expectations! Joi made the daunting task of furnishing my home a breeze! She was thorough, made the process easy for me, and stayed within my Budget. Joi is detail oriented, creative, and a very talented Interior Designer. I am extremely happy with the results and have enjoyed entertaining friends and family in my new home. In summary, Joi delivers trustworthy service, follow-through on commitments, time savings, on-budget service . . . AND she understands that the definition of "client value" is whatever the customer thinks it is. A job well done. I would highly recommend Joi for her Design Services. David Kennedy

I selected Ms Prater after interviewing 3 other designers or design firms because after our first meeting she was able to sense my needs and wants. Right away, I knew i was in good hands. Her rate was more than fair, she uses her time wisely and her professional connections are endless. The end result is so much more than I ever imagined. Our project was just under $100,000. The whole family enjoys the living spaces much more than before and I plan to use her services again in the future.

We added a master closet/dressing room and updated a full and half-bath plus updated the look throughout the house. Joi managed the project and trades. She designed the new space beautifully and decorated to our taste with fabulous materials and colors. We are going to do another project with her and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Joi worked with us on space planning, flooring and color suggestions for an older home that we are remodeling.
