FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is usually dependent on project needs. If it's a minimal shoot, my rates usually range at $150 per hour for Photo or Video. With Photo, post production time is included on color correction and basic edits. Video edits are usually dependent on the scope of the project. For example with video projects, a 2 hour event shoot with post production would normally come in at $400 but let me know what your budget is and we can work out a rate that works for both.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I take on new customers, I usually have to sit down with them (phone or in person) to have a better understanding of what they want to create and the deadlines of deliverables (I'm definitely deadline oriented). If I can better understand the needs of each project and/or the needs of the client, typically the cost per project goes down. Imagine, I'm working on a video with no sense of what you want as a final product, we could be spending an additional 5-10 hours on post production if there isn't a general vision of what you want. And that's definitely something we'll chat about when we start working together. The answer of vision could be as simple as, I want it to feel like this thing, I want these elements to be present, "make it feel like a music video", and so on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm completely self taught. Been doing video & photo work since I was in my teens. Please check out my portfolio on this page.
