- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for projects varies widely by the type of project it is. A simple project such as cleaning out gutters, requires very little skill. While replacing a water heater, or installing recessed lighting require a good deal of skill. That's why the "bill" for some things seems more "expensive" than maybe you think it should!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Introducing myself, my experience, and provide as much information as possible on pricing for project in question. I typically start out charging a service call fee, then go from there as necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went through extensive on the job training over my 30+ years in business. Construction trade school as a High school student, the multitude continuing education courses over 30 yrs., constantly reading, exploring company/manufacturers websites, and listening to my clients.
