Jennifer Simpson is a professional photographer in the Phoenix Metro area. Her work includes maternity and newborn, kids of all ages including seniors, and engagements. Jennifer has been photographing professionally since 2003. Natural light is a favorite and the thrill of 'finding the light' is addicting.
Sessions are held either at your home, which is popular for maternity and newborns, or at your favorite location. Jennifer will come to the location you prefer! Then, an ordering session is scheduled, so that we can go over the proofs together to get exactly what you want. Shortly after that, your order is delivered. You don't ever have to leave your house!
While Jennifer's favorite has always been black and white images, she recently started offering bright color images for outdoor sessions. Indoor sessions are still all black and white or a soft color.
Clients have said in the past how friendly Jennifer is and makes a photo session something to look forward to. They have also mentioned how she captures each child the way they are. Jennifer has many repeat clients all over the valley!

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Jennifer does a lot of maternity and newborn sessions. These are sessions that you can only do once, there are no 'do-overs'. They kind of resemble a wedding in that way. Older teens and seniors are also becoming popular with some people doing two mini-sessions, one in the fall and another in the spring. And of course family sessions are popular as well, especially going into the holidays people start thinking of cards and gifts.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. In order to find a photographer, you should take a few things into consideration. What sort of look do you want? Look through some websites to get a feel of the style of different photographers. You can tell a lot by a photographers website. Is there a wide variety of clients shown? Some new photographers have just a handful of different people on their websites. How long has the photographer been in business? Jennifer has been in business since 2003.
Read everything on the website, a lot of questions can be answered there that will help you narrow down your selection.

Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The moment that the shutter clicks on the camera, a memory is being made. A moment is stopped in time. A relationship was witnessed, a certain look was captured and a silly look was enjoyed. Those things can then be looked at again and again. How amazing to be able to do this as a profession! Watching the kids grow year after year, new siblings added.....watching the change from engagement to maternity sessions and to newborn...Being a part of so many lives is heartwarming..

A. Do you have a studio or are you on location?
Jennifer Simpson is an on location natural light photographer. There are no flashes used, Jennifer relies on the sun, which is more than plenty here in Arizona. Wether you choose your home or a favorite location, it doesn't matter.
Do you sell digital files?
Digital files are available for sale. You can get one, some or all of the files from your session. There are six collections to choose from for your digital needs. Some of the collections come with prints and/or other items as well!
