Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Receptions for weddings and quinceneras, birthdays and corporate functions.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. 1. Check for any performance videos if you are not already familiar with their style of performance.
2. Ask how many musicians are included in the price that you are quoted. Most mariachi groups charge per musician plus some sort of deposit.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are group formed by 12 young but talented musicians from the east valley. Each member of the group is a student, from middle school to college. Although they are students they all have been performing mariachi music for several years each.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Our greatest joy is seeing the spectators enjoying our music and performances. We love what we do and have fun doing it and take pride in assuring every performance is given 110%.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Our group is formed of young high school and college students and upon hearing that it makes some people think that the group sounds young and inexperienced, but on the contrary. Our group is formed with musicians who have played their musical instruments for many many years and has been taught by some of the most respected mariachi instructors this valley has to offer. They are in this group because they love the culture and traditional sounds of mariachi music. This is not the commonly seen older generation type mariachi group, this a fun and talented group that takes each and every performance seriously but has so much fun showing you what they love doing...making music!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We practice 2 times a week with a very respected mariachi instructor and musician. We also go to various mariachi conferences around the West Coast. We always attend the Tucson International Mariachi Conference in April and are planning on attending the Albuquerque Mariachi Conference in July. There is also a Las Cruces Mariachi Conference late year that we are also looking forward to attending.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. If you already know how to play violin, trumpet or guitar then give us a call. We are always on the lookout for new musicians to consider adding to the group.

If you do not already know an instrument then consider private lessons until you feel comfortable with your instrument. Once you feel good then give us a call :)

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. We are constantly working on our repertoire. There are so many mariachi songs out there that it is impossible to know them all but since we are a young group we have the advantage of increasing our long list of songs we offer.
