I have a business checking on homes for clients while they are out of town. During a routine check of one of my clients' homes, I noticed the AC to not be blowing cold air. I found Brett on Thumbtack and he quickly repaired the issue without trying to sell me anything extra. He has a vast knowledge of his profession and I will definitely hire him again if ever needed!!!

Brett responded quickly and gave a very competitive quote. After doing some additional research Brett seemed to have a very good reputation online and with BBB. He was able to do a complete AC install within a couple of days of my initial inquiry and the job went well.

Mr. Brett Seaman did a superb job of installing central air conditioner and gas furnace. I have selected TRANE with a seer rating of 13. A/c maintains the desired setting; He is polite and extremely helpful in answering all my questions. I will recommend him for any service related to HVAC.

He called before coming over, was on time, did the job and showed us how to do it ourselves in the future. The only way to do better would be if the price was $0. Recommend Brett.

A/C stopped working last night, Bret and his team were able to come out and take a look within hours. Him and his teammate were pleasant and diagnosed/ fixed the issue for a great price as well as test the health of the unit overall. I honestly look forward to recommending them to my family and friends as there was no attempt to deceive me or scare tactic me into additional repairs.

Air duct cleaning. I'm very happy with the work that was performed. The tech was on time and respectful in my home. The price was far better than large chains were quoting for the same work. Definitely worth it to use a local company!

He inspected my A/C for leaking Capacitors, faulty boards, and missing overflow valves. His service was professional, competent, and honest. The final bill was 1/3 what the major A/C companies would have charged for the same service.

Brett was very pleasant and took the time to describe in detail the issues. Prices were fair and he was very fast! I will definitely be using him again!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I mostly service and repair their heating and cooling equipment. Water heaters are simple and I like to add them to my list of things that I do.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. One question I would ask someone like me who showed up at my door to "repair" my heating/cooling system would be, "How long have you been in the trade?" and "What did you do before you got into this trade?" Be cautious of the service tech with a lengthy sales background.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Do I want to buy a new air conditioning unit or do I want someone out who can repair it?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I'm an air conditioning service professional who is out to provide you with quality service. My number one goal is to help YOU. I am not a salesman and my only background is in my trade. I am here to solve your heating & cooling problem, that's what I do.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I like the feeling I get of accomplishing something when I find a problem and fix it.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was introduced to this trade by my older brother who had already been in the trade for several years prior to me in the state of Florida. One day we got together and just started working together. He was my first instructor and then I decided to enroll at The Refrigeration School here in Phoenix back in 1989.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. To anyone who wants to get into this trade I highly recommend that you first attend an accredited school and then you need to get your feet wet. The training truly begins after you graduate the trade school. Find a company that is looking to let you expand your knowledge by working with journeymen technicians. You need to get involved in installs to understand it from the ground up. Find a company that will pay you hourly with benefits and do not get caught up in the commission based pay companies.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. I'm an air conditioning service professional.
