Hi, my name is Jeremy Aaron Stokes.

I am currently accepting enrollment for lessons for your student who wants to learn more. I have been playing trumpet for about 17 years. Here is a little bit about me.

Jeremy Aaron Stokes was born in the outskirts of Birmingham, Alabama. Growing up in the center of poverty, he and four siblings were raised by only his mother in a small town just outside of Birmingham. This is where he first began his love for music. He would listen to his grandmother play piano and always wanted to learn how, but was never taught how to play. The radio very much intrigued him and he would listen for hours and hours on end. Amazed by the sounds that could be created through vocals and instrumentation; he fell in love with music!
All through grade school there weren’t any musical programs at all, so he spent his early days playing pots and pans and singing along to the local radio stations.

In 7th grade he was finally able to play an instrument and after hearing the famous Louis Armstrong song, “What a Wonderful World”, he decided to play trumpet because of the sweet sounds that it could make. He immediately took off to perform in the 1st chair trumpet spot and became the featured solo trumpet player. With in just a short amount of time he won several medals from the Alabama Bandmasters Association. He won these medals for Superior ratings in Solo and Ensemble performances.

When he moved to California he started playing at Del Norte High School. This school was at the northern edge of the California coast. Jeremy played 1st chair in the High school concert band, was the featured solo trumpet player in the Jazz Band (Stage Band) and also in Marching band. He performed in many regional tours along the west coast including California, Oregon, Washington and Canada as well.

He has performed all over the nation including Disneyland, The W Hotel, “Good morning Arizona“Channel 3 News, Humboldt State University, Arizona State University, a plethora of venues as well as many benefit concerts such as, Relay for Life, Phoenix Heart Walk, Stand up for Kids, Thomas J. Pappa's School for the Homeless, Dave Mitchell fund, Save the Children and more.

Jeremy Aaron Stokes now teaches trumpet in the state of Arizona as well as plays in several bands and is booking Regional, National and World Wide Tours.
