Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When looking for a computer repair business it is important to ask about their turnaround time on repairs and their skill and experience in the particular repair involved. Their hourly rate should fall within a range of $45-$65 per hour. The service should include notification as to necessary repairs and a set quoted figure on the cost once the repairs are determined. As for computer sales, the full cost of an item should be quoted as well as any software costs not included in the unit cost. Computers require necessary software to operate effectively,properly and safely on the internet. All such software should be clearly priced with the sale.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. In the computer repair business there are many who, in our view, overcharge or mislead customers regarding the cost or nature of their repairs. We practice strict honesty and integrity with our customers and only sell them or repair what they need. We are in high standing with the Better Business Bureau.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are your technicians certified? How much experience does the company have in the particular kind of repair involved? How long has the company been in business? What is your turnaround time? How and when will the customer be informed of relevant charges and the time of job completion?
