A. I look at the whole picture. The owner's current skill level, the nature and temperament of the dog, and what the realistic needs for both will be going forward.

I customize my training protocol in a forward looking manner. By doing so, I can make the transition from training to living in a household more smooth and seamless.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Without question, it is having a positive impact for both the dog, their owner(s), and the contrasting way life flows on a daily basis before and after training.

People who engage my services tend to be at the end of their wits and neck-deep in problems. In a few short days and good owner education and participation, most problems disappear and new problems can be handled by the owner.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The best questions I get asked by clients is "how will I continue the training once my dog is back home?" Great question!

Based on my own personal experience, I learned that just about every dog trainer can get a dog to perform in the short term. The trick was to impart that information to me in a way I could understand fully. Before I became a trainer, I had an unruly bunch of four adopted dogs with all kinds of seemingly insurmountable baggage.

My life changed forever when I encountered a trainer who put it all together for me and sent me on my way to learning everything I could about canine language and behavior.
