Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We primarily do family gatherings, weddings, engagement sessions, and private family sessions.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. For wedding photography; make it a point to meet your photographer and let her/him know your style. It's a great idea to look on line or in magazines for photo styles you like. Poses, artistic touches, and types (photojournalist, formal, posed etc) you like. Ask about an Engagement sitting; this is often included - we do.. This gives you a chance to see first hand how you "jell" with your photographer and how well you like her/his work.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Get a signed contract ( by both you and your photographer) before giving a deposit. Check reviews and references of your photographer before signing. Meet several before making your decision. If you're not comfortable with him/her, it'll show in your photos.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask about an Engagement Shoot, Is it included? You should know how comfortable you are with your photographer BEFORE your wedding. Ask to see actual samples of his/her work. Ask for references or review them online. His/Her Website isn't always the best place to look at reviews. Check reviews on online directories they may be listed with. Ask about the contract and get in writing all services provided in your package. Ask about copy rights to your photos.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Have an idea what kind of wedding photography you want. Particular artistic touches, poses etc. Do you want an album? What are YOUR expectations of your photographer and what is your budget.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We love meeting our clients and getting to know them before the wedding. We love being a part, however small, of your all important wedding day/ or family gathering.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Typically, the first question is do our clients get the copy rights (DVD/Flash Drive). The answer is always yes. With our family photo special, the client gets a downloadable gallery (full resolution) and the option to order prints on line if they'd like. We're also asked about payment terms. We request 20% at contract signing and the balance 2 weeks prior to wedding or family event.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. We have many fond memories of our clients. Two weddings stand out in that the bride and groom had their (first look) before the wedding and we were able to capture that special private time away from guests and the tension of the walk up the aisle. We have fond memories of families we've spent time with, either at family gatherings, weddings, anniversaries etc.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. A life long love of capturing special moments, of our lives, our children's lives and now our clients's lives.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. We work hard to get to really know what our clients like. Your wedding and engagement shoots are about you and not your photographer's portfolio. We want to know what you like as a couple? Can we work it into your engagement shoot? We want you to have a real clear idea of the types of shots you want and special edits you like.
