- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Commercial photography, in many ways, works much different than consumer photography. This is most true with product and food photography. There is much planning and work that is done before the shoot even happens. Therefore when looking at pricing for commercial photography you are paying for the for the planning, proping, assistants (if needed), models (if needed) shooting and editing and use of your images.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
1) How do you plan to use the images? 2) What style of images do you want? Do a search for images that match the style you want, and be prepared to share those samples with your photographer. 3) If you want people in your shots, such as product, do you have room in the budget to pay models? 4) How many total images do you need? 5) When do you need to have the finished images?
