FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All sessions are unique and often go in and out of stages, but there is a general flow. The first 2-10 minutes are grounding, shifting into mindfulness, and a relaxed nervous system. The next 10 minutes usually reveal an unconscious behavior/belief/emotion. In the next 25-40 minutes we access and deepen into the unconscious system by addressing concerns, fears, and protective strategies until core belief/emotion is contacted. In contact with the core material, a mildly altered state of consciousness occurs in which nourishment, allowing, and different imaginative processes are able to unwind long-held emotions and associated beliefs about the world and oneself. The last 5-10 minutes are for landing back in ordinary consciousness, integration, making meaning, and possible ideas for homework.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduate of the Hakomi Institute Comprehensive training in mindfulness-based psychosomatic therapy. Practitioner of meditation, Tibetan Buddhism, and shamanic work for 10 years.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Shadow work is needed for everyone seeking holistic self-evolution and deep stability in spiritual states. Its need is so widespread and so unfortunately identified - I am an educator of an Integral Theory of Human development in addition to this psychosomatic work aimed at the depths of what form our fixed and limited character patterns.
