Taking Guitar Lessons to the Next Level
Dave Rude began teaching guitar lessons about 10 years ago. He only had a number of students back then, referred by his friend who had also taught guitar. Those students referred their friends, so Dave eventually had his own list of students. He became a member of Tesla in 2006, a multi-platinum classic rock band. They have done recordings and toured to various places, which helped him gain a different outlook in his teaching approach.
I strive to make learning to play the guitar fun for each student, so they enjoy the whole process, and it never feels like too much work.
Dave has a variety of students who come from all walks of life. They range in age from 12 to 53 and range in ability from beginner to veteran. His lessons are customized to each of his students. For Dave, students are able to learn if they enjoy what they do.
Watching someone really understand something and master a song or technique is such a joy. I totally get a kick out of watching their eyes light up when they realize they can play something that used to be out of reach.
Having parents who are both school teachers, it is no wonder that Dave certainly knows how to keep a student motivated at all times.
