Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Have a clear idea of what the purpose of the website is. Is it for your business, personal blog, or ecommerce? The main thing to provide is a good idea of the site navigation, the main links that visitors will click on. The obvious links are typically about us, services, contact us.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What is the experience of the developer? Will they provide a list of completed website links, skills or specialties, and most important, do they provide a contract that defines expectations of both parties, timeline and payment.

A look at the developers website is not necessarily a good barometer. For me, my business website is the last thing I pay attention to as I am so busy with clients work, their satisfaction is more important.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Have a clear idea of what the purpose of the website is. Is it for your business, personal blog, or ecommerce? The main thing to provide is a good idea of the site navigation, the main links that visitors will click on. The obvious links are typically about us, services, contact us.

Knowing what you want out of your website and how you want it to serve your needs is paramount. To just say I want a website for my business without any thought as to the content or the message, is just a waste of your money, and there are plenty of developer out there that will just take your money, give you a website and not assist you in understanding what that website needs to do for you.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. The pride that I take in ensuring that what I do represents the clients needs and then exceeds them. When I complete a project, I stick with the client for a year to ensure that the site is maintained correctly and the the client is trained in maintaining the content effectively.
