Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Most common issues customers inquire about have to be virus & spyware infections. This usually means that they haven’t implemented security software on their workstations. Besides removing virus and doing day-to-day hardware & software troubleshooting, maintenance & systems administrations is our most common task. Making sure all the computers & servers are in tip-top shape, verifying that backups are working as intended. Monitoring server & network activity, checking for abnormal behaviors. After that would be setting up servers & migrations. Doing day to day IT tasks, like setting up new employees, setting up new computers, transferring files and settings, creating new email accounts.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure they have experience doing what you're asking for. Most common mistake is asking a web designer or a computer person to do IT tasks. Computer network, servers & firewalls are not something that web designers, programes or even most computer repair people are good at.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Reliability!
Running a business is hard enough when everything is running smooth; nobody wants another thing to worry about, especially when it’s as critical as your IT infrastructure, your computers, server, firewall, antivirus software or onsite or offsite backup solution. We all have had that vendor that guaranteed good product or service but could never deliver. Remember how much time and stress it takes to deal with them? Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I'm passionate about technology, so doing my job is satisfaction enough. I like to provide customized IT solutions I can be proud of, knowing that they will meet and exceed all requirements provided by the customer. I'm happy when the customer is happy, and that only happes with honest & reliable service.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. There is no specific question that we get the most, in general customers ask about specific portions of the IT world. We pretty much cover it all, anything from comptuer repair & upgrades, to network design & installation, firewall & security, to antivirus & malware removal. Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Recently I was contacted by a financial company who's been having problems with their exchange 2003 server. It's been giving them issues for weeks, and now it was completely down and they were unable to send/receive emails. They called several different companies to solve the problem, but nobody was able to do so successfully. They were very stressed and have given up all hope. I showed up on site, logged in to the server and started troubleshooting the server issues. Within a couple of minutes I noticed that the main cause of the problems was that the server was out of hard drive space. I was able to delete old log files, about 40Gigs worth of, and the customer was able to get back to work. I was able to solve the problem so quickly and painlessly, that the customer didn't believe me when I told them I was already done. About a week later I was invited to the CEO’s house for a BBQ.
