FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing may seem expensive at first but I am a reliable high quality photographer who CBS names to be one of the 5 best artistic photographers in Orange County. Here is the link for that news release: http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/top-lists/best-artistic-photographers-in-orange-county/ Hence my prices will not be cheap since I use the best possible equipment and put all my artistic knowledge and experience into every photo. My pricing system is simple otherwise: 1) hourly hire ($350 per hour with a 2-hour minimum), or 2) full day coverage--like an entire day of wedding with fully edited photos for $3,500 or 3) more artistic options are also available, such as taking my entire studio with me to the wedding to also get beautiful studio shots of the new couple--the price of a package like that is much more expensive. 4) Some people prefer to have every photo a piece of fine art like a painting. A package like that is also available. Please contact Angela for more detailed information and to customize a package for your budget and needs!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I educate myself continuously. Not only in new technology--that is a given-but also on difficult photo techniques and software tricks. I spend at least one hour a day educating myself by reading, practicing, and attending "weebinars", which are seminars online. I also attend seminars once a month and have joined the Southern California Shoot-out photographers group that once a month gathers to learn from each other. They set up mock photo environment--like a wedding that is modeled by volunteer models. We photograph and learn from the experts who are also part of the event. Otherwise my education is at a high level already since I have a PhD. =) So "formal" higher education is not possible.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually fell in love with photography as a nature photographer many many years ago. I am also an artist (painter and sculptor) so the artistic eye possible to explore with the camera was a fantastic opportunity for me. Then my older son decided to get married and his bride-to-be asked me to capture her getting ready for the wedding. Once I presented her with my photograph (I shot even during the ceremony using a remote controller!), she actually preferred my photos to the photos of the photographer she hired! Soon one of her bridesmaids got engaged and she insisted that I photograph her wedding! =) It started this way. And the rest is history! I am in love with photography and even for my days off I choose to grab the camera and capture the beauty of nature or anything at all.
