I competed in the 2012 Olympic trials for long jump & I also play basketball in the Drew League (The top basketball pro-am in the world). I am also one of the top dunkers in the world. The 4x reigning Kobe Bryant Academy dunk champ and have won multiple dunk contests. I train athletes all over the country as I specialize in flexibility, mobility, speed & vert & explosiveness (bounce). I show an athlete how to apply athleticism to the court or for whatever sport they play. Whether you want get faster and have better mobility or be a top tier athlete, I can help. We met Bracin Skywalker 6 months ago as we searched for the best basketball trainer possible for our boys. We have three boys that play high level AAU basketball and have worked with many trainers including a LA Laker Assistant coach and many other national coaches and trainers. We did have some success, but in all honesty, it was limited. Since hiring Bracin to train all three of our boys, our lives have never been the same. We were initially drawn to Bracin because of his amazing resume, which includes winning the Kobe Bryant Slam Dunk Contest for four straight years and working directly for Kobe at many of his camps. Since Bracin is only 5'9 inches, dunking is every smaller kid's dream as it is nearly impossible. Bracin also broke many records as one of the top Long Jumpers in the USA. From an athletic perspective, Bracin is recognized as one of the most athletic individuals in the world. In addition to teaching our boys basketball, athleticism is something we wanted for our boys. We also liked the fact that he trains athletes from many different sports, not just basketball. Our oldest son is 14 and is one of the top point guards in our area, but we wanted him to go to the next level. Truthfully, within 5 minutes we could see something was far different from all of the other trainers we had used in the past. Bracin made corrections to many things including his shot in the first session. All of the other so-called top trainers kept telling us that "don't worry, his shot will work itself out"...but after years, and thousands of dollars spent, it didn't. Again, within the first 5 minutes of the first session, Bracin fixed it. We were shocked. In addition to his amazing skills as a trainer, Bracin's greatest quality is that he instills confidence and calmness to his athletes. He really cares about each individual and will do anything to help. He has gone beyond any reasonable expectations that we could have dreamed for. As an example, he has gone out of town to multiple camps (on his dime) to support and work with our boys. He goes to many of their games to help support and guide them. Before we met Bracin, We were getting burned out by broken promises from other coaches and trainers and our sons were also getting to the point of burning out. To them, basketball had become just one more commitment, almost like homework from school. Amazingly, now they all love basketball again and beg to train with him. They train with him 2 to 4 times a week. As parents, this has been the best money we have ever spent on our kids for anything. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have recently relocated to Sacramento from my home base of Los Angeles to help my mother because of Covid—19, as she falls in the high risk category. I have altered my rates in the Sacramento region to establish a local cliental. - Rate - $100 hr/session - $10 for travel over 30miles - $20 for travel over 50miles - $30 for travel over 100miles - Location - Sacramento/Antelope I do not mind going a little longer if the session requires it. Feel free to ask me about additional discounts for referrals, groups, virtual (facetime/zoom) sessions or any other questions you may have about the rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1st session is usually a get to know each other session. I take a little more time to explain what and why we are doing certain workouts and what the benefits are and at the same time I am learning how your body works and responds to certain workouts and movements to see where you are at physically and mentally so we can figure what pace, reps etc is best for you to start at. I am a firm believer that the coach and athlete work together. I love communication. I will stress to always ask questions if you have them. I will never have someone do something I have never done or can’t explain. Reaching your goals should be a balance of working smarter, not harder and also having fun during the process.
