Save your old family photos! I will restore fading photos, scratches and flaws, and you will receive a print as well as a digital image file that will never fade and can be used to make prints in the future.

Are you disappointed with the quality of your wedding, senior or portrait photos? I can magically transform them to look special with my photoshop skills. This can include cropping for better composition, using filters for enhancement, changing color to black and white or toned images and even erasing something (or someone) from the photo!

Please visit my website where you can see some before and after examples of my work.

I also produce slide shows using your photos or image files. They are great for memorial services, anniversary celebrations or other special occasions. They make great gifts! For instance, you can have a slide show of your child from birth to graduation, of your dating and wedding photos or anything else you can think of.

Enhanced Wedding Pictures! We had a small wedding in a remote location, needless to say, it was too expensive to fly a photographer out to take our pictures. I was so disapointed with the quality although we got some really good shots. Donna came to my rescue. I sent her a disc of all the pictures and she turned them into a work of art! I even had one blown up for my bedroom! She was able to take mediocre pictures and turn them into timeless memories that I frequently share with people. Donna is a not just a master of photoshop, she is a romantic artist! I looked amazing in the final results and can't wait to pass the photoalbum down to our children!

My wife and I (as well as our entire family) were in a serious jam. Grampi had just passed away. Everyone wanted to honor him as best as we could but were deep in the mourning process. We had old pictures that we would love to have displayed but they weren't taken care of as well as we would have liked. That's when we remembered Donna Johnson. We came to her with the seemingly impossible task of restoring some old pictures and blowing them up to poster size... and we were in a crunch for time. Donna not only did the "impossible" but she also added her own artist flair to the picture. Were were so blessed by her professional and yet artistic work... and Grampi's memory was honored in style. Thank you Donna.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be sure to ask for examples of the work, specifically the before and after images. Make sure you are given a cd with the image files of the restorations for your own archival purposes. Prints will fade over time, so as long as you have the digital file, you can always have a new print made.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I don't know if most people are aware of the training and education involved in becoming a photoshop professional who can restore and enhance photos. There is also a lot of expense in being equipped in this field. Quality computer components including back-up storage devices and services. Photoshop itself costs hundreds of dollars, not to mention other software programs, and in my case, state of the art slideshow software for producing slideshows that can include music and video clips.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Of course, ask to see the before and after images of restorations and enhanced photos. Ask to see examples of slideshows, which can be seen via a link on your computer.
Price should not be a criteria if you want high quality results for precious photos that are passed from generation to generation.
What do most people say they would save first if their house was on fire? Their family photos! I keep digital files stored both on an external hard drive as well as on an online storage service.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I'm sure there are other excellent people in this field and I don't want to minimize their talents. All I know is that I have training and experience, but beyond that, a true love of being able to take an old photograph and bring it back to life -- or of creating a slideshow that flows and touches your heart. I am creative, artistic, have great attention to detail, and take pride in whatever I work on!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. It's hard to say because there are a lot of them. One that comes to mind is when I got a phone call from a woman whose elderly father had passed away. The memorial service was only 2 days away, which unfortunately is the case with these kind of services. Well, I worked overtime and produced a slideshow of his lifetime of photographs which I scanned and optimized, along with music that he loved. They were thrilled and I was so glad to have brought a measure of joy into a sad time. I've always loved reading about lives of real people and maybe that's partly what I enjoy about this type of slideshow. I get to have a glimpse into the unfolding of a life well-lived.
