Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We teach all of the instrument groups (including voice). Our voice instructors, for example, are super talented and have worked with many industry professionals

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. You want a teacher with experience teaching with a planned curriculum and not shooting from the hip

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Why do so many music instructors prefer to shuffle students through without taking the time to actually prepare a lesson plan? May we suggest that because many teachers are good players they shoot from the hip because there is always something they know their students don't. However, students learn best when there is a plan and some order. That doesn't mean you have to be rigid.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Are you committed?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. At Music and Voice we have trained professionals who teach in a conservatory-type environment to maximize the effectiveness of a students education. We have FUN! Our passion is helping students to use music as a tool to improve education and particularly helping families to use music as a tool to obtain college scholarships. We teach all ages, by the way

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We like seeing our clients succeed from tier to tier and become the best at what they do. we love to see our students dream and imagine

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much does it cost? We always will give prices but rarely publish prices. The reason is everyone has different needs. Not all students learn using the same method. We assess every application in order to make sure we are a good fit for one another.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. One of our favorite stories is about the young lady who recently won the Middle school Band Instrument and piano competition, She was so elated and shared that she had never won anything her whole life! The third place winner became inspired and decided to take his playing to another level! we have hundreds of stories to share

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Music and Voice Institute's instructors are kind gentle and love to work with students. Our oldest student is 78. Our youngest are toddlers. Our Director has been playing professionally since age 13 and encourages the instructors to impart the wisdom of the trade in everything we do

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Music and Voice Institute was founded because although there are local schools teaching basic band instruments we saw the need for deeper education inspiration encouragement and guidance. Our Director played music his entire life and it wasn't until after he was steeped in college that he learned he could have received a music scholarship, No one ever mentioned it.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We sponsored 35 students for our Music Summer Camp.
Recently one our students was signed by Brittany Spears Management. Another student appeared on La Voz and was a high ranking finalists!
