FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We try to put together an estimate of what it will realistically take to complete the job and work from that. We generally go by the day or half day, but are flexible to what the needs of the job are. We can go by the hour as well, can be creative when needed and will work with you to fit within your budget and needs. We like you to know everything up front so there are no surprises.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we find out what the need is and what you need to achieve. Then we work from that. Spending the time up front to define your goals and build a plan always helps to make a better product. So many times I see budgets get used up from poor planning and people thinking that if we "just point a camera here for awhile" we will have a video. People tune out quickly and then you've wasted your time and energy. We work hard to avoid that and create a package that communicates your message in the most effective way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The real place to learn is by experience. With over 20 years of working daily in Post Production and Production I try to learn something new every day and something on every project I can use on the next. I do also have a BS from CSUS in communications, and take advantage of classes and events where I can continue to learn more all the time.
