G+S delivered an A+ experience for my entire project - from inception, through planning, design, and construction segments of my project. Despite difficult design constraints with a major rebuild, the final product far exceeded expectations. I would recommend G+S to anyone.

three jobs later, we still turn to Sunny and Ed for design and advice. They are unusually good at hitting the balance among the client's hopes and goals, their creative contributions, and the practical limitations (engineering and budget) of the job. My dad was an architect at a pretty high level, and taught me the difference between architects who are serving their egos vs. the clients. It helps greatly that both came from design-build experience, where the close integration of the architects and those who actually had to carry out the ideas made for perfect feedback between ideas and achievement. They are really people you can trust to work in your interests, and diplomaticaly lead you to understand what your interests are, from among all the possibilities you and they have thought of. This is what I tried for in my own professional life, and what I see in their practice.

We have wanted to remodel our kitchen since the day we bought our house eight years ago and always had a reason for putting it off. So when we finally decided to go for it we had some definite ideas about what we wanted. We just did not know how to make it happen. We interviewed several kitchen designers and a few architects that were recommended. It was pretty astounding to find how full of themselves some of these people are. Several seemed really unclear on the concept of whose kitchen it was they were actually going to redesign...listening to the client not really the forte of many among those we spoke to. Not so with Sunny Grewal of Studio GS.

From the first meeting we had with Sunny we could tell he was listening and really paying attention to what we had as an overall vision of our space. So when he sent over a contract for us to review with a very reasonable price for his work, it was almost a no brain-er that he would be our architect.

Sunny and his partner Ed very quickly came up with several different design options that reflected exactly what we had envisioned. Not only did it look like he was listening, he really was. After just a couple of meetings tweaking the original designs they came up with we had a winner.

Sunny was always very responsive, calm and cool and worked really well with the contractor we chose.

We have a great space now and are really happy we chose Sunny and Ed to get us there. Kevin and Melinda Charles
