FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please give me a call to discuss my standard rates for individual and couples therapy sessions. I accept personal checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express credit or debit cards. I currently accept a limited number of Beacon Health Strategies referrals. I am happy to provide you with monthly statements that can be used if your insurance plan has an "out of network benefit". Call your insurance provider for details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My therapeutic style is thoughtful, active and non-judgmental. What does therapy look like? Our work together will probably include some combination of • Recognizing self-defeating patterns • Identifying strengths you already possess • Setting achievable goals • Identifying realistic tasks to achieve those goals • Developing healthy coping methods. I want to help you become more self-aware, live more in the present, and assume more responsibility for taking care of yourself. The duration of the therapeutic process ranges from short-term, goal-oriented work to longer-term depth work focused on exploration and discovery. Most clients find they are helped by meeting once per week while others choose to meet two or more times each week. It is usually best for us to discuss your therapeutic goals to decide together what is best for you. Therapy sessions are generally 50 minutes long.
