I've been providing services for the past 7 years as JACKson of All Trades. I started doing this in 2004 in Los Angeles, and have since moved things in Dallas, New York, Houston, San Francisco, and now Austin!

Believe me, I've seen it all, and I have the Tetris pattern to the back of my truck down pretty good. I also have access to 16 and 24-foot box trucks for full-house moves. I am licensed, bonded, and insured. I provide flat rate quotes that stay the same no matter how long the job takes to complete.

If you need me to help drive the U-Haul you just rented, I can do that.

I've assembled a large portion of the IKEA catalogue, and while most people dread putting together furniture, I rather enjoy it.

As an eagle scout, I will ensure your belongings are sufficiently tied down and well taken cared of. Feedback from past customers say that I am efficient, kind, strong, reliable, and on time, but don't take my word for it.

I had a great experience with Jackson & Phillip. There was a slight miscommunication on their end, which caused them to miss the initial move date by a day. They were responsive to correct their mistake and offered a discount.

They promised a flat rate for 3hrs with full services. I was moving in the apartment next door and the price would have been ideal had it been utilized all the way - since the work was done within the hour! So definitely no complaints about their work as they're reliable, quick and efficient. Can't say much about packaging and transporting since that was not required in my case.

Thank you Jackson & Phillip for your hard work!

Jackson and his team did a fantastic job moving our stuff out of the house and into our 2nd floor apartment. They were friendly, polite and very careful with our belongings. They were quick too! I'll definitely be calling them the next time we need a mover.

Jackson assembled multiple pieces of IKEA furniture for us. He was prompt and worked around our schedule. He completed the work in a timely manner, and was extremely professional and courteous. We would definitely use him again for any jobs we have in the future. Highly recommended!

Jackson was communicative the week prior & day of. Prompt & extremely friendly. We had a 3rd floor walk-up with no elevator but both guys did such an awesome job that I could barely keep up with my last minute packing before it was out the door. Highly recommend for any move or job. Great experience!

Jackson and Phillip did an amazing job helping us with what would have otherwise been an extremely annoying move. Jackson gave me a very competitive quote on the job, arrived early, and completed the move faster than I could believe. All of our furniture was in the new place in less than an hour. It was truly quite incredible. Jackson and Phillip were friendly, professional, and efficient, which is exactly what one needs when moving. I will never move in Austin again without booking JACKson of All Trades!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Most commonly you'll find me delivering and assembling IKEA furniture. Other than that i mostly do a lot of small apartment moves, Craigslist pick ups, and dump runs.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Provide as many details as possible!! I base my flat rate quote on the specific info you give me i.e. What large items do you have, how many boxes or misc. items, stairs on either end? from where to where? what's the parking situation like? Things like that. The more info you provide in the initial contact the quicker i can get you a quote and schedule a time to get your job done!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I take a vested interest in doing a good job. One's work ethic is a direct reflection of their character.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Meeting different people from all walks of life, class, religion, and age. I also love the feeling of accomplishment when you do something right and when you help someone in need.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Physically this is a tough business. It's taxing on your back, your vehicle, and your mind. There are a lot of tricks to make moving things easier that just come with lots of experience and trial and error. This is definitely one of those businesses where you get what you pay for.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was living in New York and noticed there was a niche market open. People needed things they purchased on Craigslist picked up and delivered. Having a pick up truck in NY is a high commodity in this regard. I realized that i was strong and more than capable of providing this service. I then started doing IKEA furniture delivery and assembly....haven't looked back since.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. I've developed an algorithm that allows me to input specific criteria and spits out a flat rate quote based on your scenario. The price stays the same no matter what.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Lift with your legs, wear a back brace, and be friendly!
