Lianna N. says, "Tidy Tom was a dream to work with. Outside of home organizing, Tom is a visual merchandiser for storefront displays, and it shows. (See that wooden toy gun in the bookshelf? It was hanging around, my partner didn't want to get rid of it, so Tom took it and set it at an angle and displayed it amongst the books, and I was floored). My partner came home and immediately did the same thing for the nerf gun, lol. The main focus was the music room, which used to be partner's "dungeon corner" and a catch-all for stuff. Lighting was always an issue in the dungeon corner, and we basically just stuffed him in that corner because the movers left the desk there. His office is now in the living room and exposed to sunlight, yay! And now we get to peep on each other and "be closer". Partner also gets to use the new ink shelf in the bookcase right next to his desk for all his fountain pen writing needs. Much easier to access the inks and it looks pretty too. Kitchen drawers and cabinets were an afterthought bonus. The kitchen just makes more sense now. I hated pulling dishes out (they used to be stacked on a narrow shelf), but now it's easy in the drawer. Did I buy new furniture? Yes, but only 1 item, and I got rid of even more. I bought a shoe cabinet from Ikea which let me get rid of the ugly shoe rack that was blocking the bathroom door. New shoe cabinet fits perfectly right next to our front door, and now guests can take off their shoes right away and see the beautiful music corner. AND we made use of existing space (I can use the closet now) to the point that I actually got rid of 2 storage shelves (wooden and black shelves pictured) Bikes are now mounted and easier to access. (Thanks Tom for helping with the drilling! I won't make a stud joke, cringey) Last but not least, the kitties love their new spot by the window. They actually use their cat tree again for chilling in the sunbeams. Tom was also great with the furballs and made friends with the furry fiends rather quickly. We were both talking to the cats by the end of 3 days of working together. If the cats approve, I approve! They're a good litmus test. Thanks so much Tom for your help and humor. Also glad I could introduce you to the wonders of Chick-fil-A breakfast biscuits. p.s. my mother-in-law saw the place and now wants you to come over and help her out! (a dream come true)"See more
