Introduction: The Works is a member-run, multi-generational studio with addictive exercise and dance classes. We have a gorgeous facility with a real hardwood sprung dance floor to protect your joints, full-length mirrors, ballet barres, free weights, mats, and all manners of exercise equipment.
Plus, we have showers and free and easy 2-hour parking on our cross streets and convenient location near UC Berkeley.

Morning Exercise Classes: The coop hires smart, motivating teachers for morning classes, like Pilates mat, cardio dance, total body challenge, yoga + balance, world beat, etc. These classes are filled with intelligent and interesting coop members who make friends, while they are making themselves fit. These classes are open to all, and a discount class card can be used interchangeably for all of them. Good deal!
2. Hot Dance and Movement Teachers: During the evenings and weekends, you'll find the studio pulsing with awesome classes in samba, salsa, Cuban, capoeira, bhangra, hip hop, qigong, kundalini yoga, and more. The bay's uber-talented teachers rent our beautiful space to host their own version of hotness on the dance floor.
3. Personal Training and Workshops: With weekdays and open slots on our schedule, you'll find personal trainers and workshop leaders who come use our equipment and space. They love that we support with hands-on or hands-off admin, web marketing, and good vibes.
