A new roof on our recently purchased home In Berkeley was going to be quite a project and I'm hugely thankful that I decided to go with Mike Scott and his crew from Water-Tyte. Mike's estimate was a bit above his competitors, but he caught problem areas that the others missed and detailed them with pictures in his emailed estimate. With a home built in 1901, Mike was very clear that more surprises were likely to be lurking under the four layers of leaky roof and naturally, that was the case. He did a great job in showing my partner and I the hidden problem areas after the old roof was torn off and giving us several repair options. These repairs did not significantly increase the overall job completion date and we were prepared for the additional costs.
Mike and his crew were great to work with, they took great care in the cleanup after each days work and were as unobtrusive as is possible with this kind of work as my partner works from home. Our new roof looks great and it's passed it's first test in our recent rains with no problems at all. I would highly recommend Mike and Watr-Tyte. He is truly a real professional.

A. Consumers should always ask service professionals if they are licensed, bonded and insured. In addition, requesting references is important as well.
