Introduction: Adult classes are taught by Bill Howey every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday at 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We offer small acting classes for serious actors. Bill is a challenging and compelling acting teacher with 30 years of experience. He is honest and straightforward. He creates a safe environment to take risks and to grow. Teen classes (ages 11 to 17 are taught by Carla Howey every Sunday at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. I put emphasis on each young actor, bringing their own unique personality to the part, whether it be TV, movie or commercial. There's only one of you in the whole world, and your uniqueness will sell you to directors, producers, and casting directors. To be competitive, you must be confident in who you are. This is what I teach, but it takes practice. Not only will I give you an in-depth critique of your acting, but will also work with you to make it personal. Practice builds confidence, and confident actors win parts. My class is a professional level acting workshop. I do not dumb it down because the actor is young. Producers and directors want professionalism, whether you're 6, 10, 18 or 35. Good acting is making an audience believe you are the character, and you learning how to do that is my job. Not only will you be performing scenes in class as if they were real and being filmed, but you will also do it again as an audition. Auditioning is a huge part of acting. You can be the best actor in the world, but if you can't audition, you won't get the part. We practice acting and auditioning.
