About Thank Dog!

We offer dog training or 'Obedience and Fitness For Dogs and Their People'.

Thank Dog! is a private in-home dog training company that specializes in both basic and advanced obedience while always addressing behavioral issues like anxiety, aggression or hyperactivity in the home.

Thank Dog! has also brought you the nation's first outdoor fitness program that combines weight training, cardio training and dog training for dogs and their owners to do together.

Every class is run by a personal trainer and a dog trainer. All new boot campers must undergo the consultation/obedience lesson before starting, where the dog will learn nine commands used to engage them throughout the program.

If you are into fitness (or want to be) and you have a dog (trained or untrained), get your shoes on, grab a leash and come play with us!

We've been on the Today Show, Good Morning America, Access Hollywood, MSN, Yahoo with Dominique Dawes, The Dog Whisperer, Dogs 101, Cesar Millans new dog training book, magazine and site, etc., and that's just a few!

Jill is an incredible trainer! She has done so much to help me with my once crazy border collies. After working with Jill I can bring my pups with me anywhere and I know they will be on their best behavior!

Jill was recommended by a colleague after my wife and I adopted a 5 year old pit-bull mix with leash aggression. In our lessons with Jill, we've become far better dog owners and our dog has become incredibly well-behaved on the leash. Jill's knowledge base, flexibility, care and most of all, dedication is unparalleled. We love her!

Jill was amazing with my "high energy" young dog. In minutes, she had him focused and learning new things. She was great showing me how to work with my dog too. We were doing things in our first session, I never thought we wold ever be able to master! She is very patient and understanding. I highly recommend her!

I first met Jill ten years ago when she trained three of my dogs. She was awesome. She has now trained seven dogs for our family. Not only does she train with compassion, but with laughter too. Our household order is now like The Sound of Music! She will always be in our lives.

I've been working with Jill for over 10 years, and I know of no better dog trainer anywhere. Her talents for quickly assessing a situation and formulating a workable training plan with her clients are great, and I always get GREAT feedback whenever I talk with someone she's worked with.

Jill has an enormous love for dogs and genuine concern for how they fit into their human family. She always involves the family in training, and adapts her training according to everyone's needs, both dog and human.

I work with dog trainers all over the United States, and Jill is hands-down one of the best!

Jill is amazing! She was very informative on why my dog was having issues and took her time to answer the endless questions I threw at her, She taught me how to handle my aggressive shephard and make him a calm and respectful dog! I can now take him everywhere with me!!

Excellent!! My puppy is a responsible member of the family , thanks to jill's training. I'm grateful that the puppy stage is fun and not frustrating. I highly recommend the training for any dog.

I hired Jill for a staying and training job. I went on a business trip and she stayed at my house for 3 weeks and trained my dog, Lucy.

It was the best money I've ever spent. The behavior problems diminished (she was barking, jumping and chewing things). I had to participate when I got home in which she followed it up with one on one lessons so my dog would listen to me.

The best part was that I wasn't worried about my dog being in weird environment, she got to be trained in her own house. It's a great service!

I'd tried group training sessions at a few of the newer franchizes that seem to be popping up and wasn't seeing real results. I'd been dismissing his bad behavior as "just being a dog" right up until the point he bit the FedEx guy. Jill came highly recommended by a number of dog owners we know and we went for it. Not only do I get compliments as to how well our dog behaves now, I've flown him as a service/support dog.

Jill and Noelle are both fabulous fitness instructors and dog trainers. This is the most rewarding and fun exercise class I have ever done. My beagle is very well trained thanks to them! The community of people who participate in this class are also wonderful, wonderful people!

Thank Dog! Bootcamp is the best way to combine a great workout with a dog training session. Our energetic dog is considerably calmer each day post-bootcamp, and her obedience has infinitely improved. We've seen incredible results!

My dog and I have been going to this bootcamp for more than a year and a half. To our trainers: thank you from the bottom of our rock-hard abs!

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Nobody does what I do. I am the first of it's kind to combine the two necessities that dogs and owners need on a daily basis...exercise for the person, exercise for the dog and basic obedience for both.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I get to be with amazing people and dogs every morning. Not only am I helping them all to reach their goals both behaviorally and physically, but the bonding experience its created for all of us can't be beaten.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How did you think of this idea and how does it work? I have been a dog trainer for almost 10 years and was 40 pounds overweight. I have a Doberman who loves to run. Once I joined a bootcamp style workout and lost all of the weight, I was reminded daily that my dog needed a workout as well...the idea was born.

I won't tell you our secrets, but everyone must do the consultation/obedience lesson before starting to teach them how to use the program for safety reasons. We created a program that will engage the dog while never interrupting the workout...its pretty awesome.
