Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. You can pay very little for something and eventually pay double the price or you can go to a professional like me who will charge you an honest and reasonable amount and give you more than you expected.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut feeling after meeting the person you hire. He/she can describe some of the shots that make a memorable video so it's always a good idea to ask for his/her vision.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I only take on projects that I know I'll do a great job with or else I don't accept them.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Filmmaking is my first passion and videography and editing are part of it all. Every shot taken, every clip edited is original. That's what I like about it. It's putting my ideas into motion through films and video and helping others enjoy their events like weddings, spots and videos that tell a story.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Be it a film, music video, a wedding, TV spots or a corporate video, everyone wants to know in advance how it will all turn out. I usually tell them, "If you'd take your legal matter to a lawyer to take care of, then for your videos, spots, wedding videography, you've come to the right place. So don't worry so much!
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I did a wedding for a couple who got married at the beach in California. I told the bride that she would cry her eyes out every time she watched the video. That's exactly what happened. Captured were some very special wedding moments which I knew would remain with the couple for years to come. Then when editing, I added effects and music which brought it all together into a beautiful video. I try to shoot weddings like I'm shooting a movie. Certain moments during weddings have to be captured in order to bring back the same thoughts and feelings as you had on your wedding day.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I realize that you worked hard for every dollar you spend. I'll give you more than you expect when you hire me to do produce, shoot or edit your projects. I take every job, big or small, very seriously and put heart into it.
The equipment I use, high end cameras, lights and mics, are just that, tools. What produces a great video or photo is bringing out the best of what's in front of the camera. That can only be achieved if I have the right personality to do so, to inspire and get people excited about something. I do that with every project I work on as though a million dollars is at stake at each step of the way.
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. Communication bring out the best in every situation. No matter what we do, we need to express ourselves. All the directing, producing, shooting and editing skills I have would be nothing without effectively communication and I believe I have that.
