I HAVE TO POST AN UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW. Unfortunately, Thumbtack will not let me delete the review so I will update it and hope that this is all you read. Chris Goodrich made everything right. He is a true professional and I appreciate how responsive he was to my concerns. Chris is very diligent and certainly takes pride in his work. Thank you, Chris. STOP! Do not use this company. The sole proprietor, Chris Goodrich purchased materials that were inadequate for the gates he was supposedly designing. The materials for one gate was not sufficient to hold the weight of the gate. The posts he purchased and fabricated for all 3 gates were not correct for the stone pillars they were being attached. He was very insulting and unprofessional toward my contractor and other workers to the point where they refused to work with him. Under the circumstances, I explained to Chris that I could no longer use his services. I expected him to be an upstanding businessman and return the large deposit I gave him minus some incidentals. Well I couldn’t have been more wrong. He is keeping a very large majority of the deposit claiming he is charging me for services I did not receive, which includes travel time to pick up materials that could have been delivered to him for free and I never approved and time he spent drawing the design for the gates, which I never saw. It is very unfortunate that not everyone in business can be counted on to do the right and just thing.

Chris did a great job on a custom staircase railing. Great communication, punctual and very professional. Pricing was reasonable and he also fix led an iron gate I was having problems closing. I would recommend Chris and will definitely use him again. A real pleasure to work with.
