Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I'm here to save you time and money. My advice is don't try to build a logo that represents your business yourself. You will spend a lot of time trying to get it right, which equates to time lost that you could have spent on your business. Let me do what I have been trained to do for you, while you focus on what you do - your business!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. The most important question to ask when determining the value of what you are getting is: What is the cost compared to the scope of the project? In other words, what am I getting for the price quoted and are there any additional charges? Too often a client is quoted a price, but then finds out that there are additional costs that weren't discussed in the initial quote. What's a client to do? Scrap the project? Too much has already been invested so you continue and pay the extra cost. Be clear up front about what your designer is providing for the price quoted.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Buyers should have an idea of what they want to accomplish with a specific kind of design. For example, logo design is very important to a business as it is their face to their potential customers. That logo should be appealing to the potential client base. A basic knowledge of who the business is trying to reach is essential. Another example is if a business is in need of a brochure; pictures and text communicating in the best way possible about the nature and qualifications of the business is very important to designing the most effective brochure.
