A. Within the past week we completed a repipe of a mobilehome that was originally plumbed with plastic piping. The piping was leaking in several different areas and it was beginning to create damage underneath the coach. We provided the Customer with two different options, one being repipe with copper pipe and the other option was to repipe with Aquapex piping. Aquapex is much more affordable and comes with a 25 year manufactures warranty. The customer chose to go with the Aquapex and we were able to get the job done in one day.
Within this past week we also removed a 40 gallon water heater that was leaking and upgraded the home with a new tankless water heater. The Customer will be able to earn a tax credit of up to $300 for the upgrade.
Last week we performed commercial maintenance to an existing, repeat customer. Routine HVAC maintenance was done on 6 roof top heat pumps per the 3 year maintenance contract agreement.
A. Before hiring a professional contractor, make sure you are really hiring a professional. Ask if the contractor is licensed with the State, and ask for the license number. Ask if the company is insured with both Liability insurance, as well as Worker's Comp. If you hire a contractor that is not insured or has let his insurance lapse and he gets hurt on your property you are liable for damages. It's also a good idea to ask if the Company is a Member of the Better Business Bureau. Most times a Company that is an Accredited BBB Member didn't earn that by accident. If you are hiring a contractor for a large project it wouldn't hurt to ask them for referrals from other Customer's.
