- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We've recently launched a web site for Team Quest Encinitas. This was a project that was very near and dear to our heart as many of us are avid MMA fans and participants. We set them up with a CMS (Content Management System), a sweet design, and lead a SEO workshops to help them manage their own Vertical SEO presence so that they aren't reliant on someone else market their site or make content updates. We still help out as needed but it was nice to be able to empower them to drive their own traffic to their site.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a web development or SEO service provider make sure you get a statement of work before offering payment. Make it clear to both parties what each of you expect to have when the project is finished. A well written proposal should address payment schedule, a timeline, and a list of services, features, or products that you will receive when the project is complete. A client should also do due diligence on their part to check references and also ask how much of the work will be subcontracted.
