Introduction: I use alternative teaching methods when students are unable to learn through traditional methods. I am trained in helping students with Learning Disabilities. I have an understanding of specific practices such as Linda Mood Bell, Fuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment Programs, Multiple Intelligence Theories and I can interpret and explain Individual Education Plans as well as Academic Reports written by Special Education Teachers. I am not only a tutor, I am your child's advocate. I contact teachers to get current academic reports. I also attend Individual Education Plan meetings, 504 meetings, Student Study Team meetings, and parent teacher conferences. Working one on one with my clients in an environment that is safe for them. The feeling of satisfaction when my client masters a skill.

Konie is an outstanding educator, motivator and advocate for my 1st grader. She has helped our child read and write and after 3 months, he is now above grade level. He was so frustrated and upset with school before we came to her, that I couldn't get him to write his name without him becoming upset or having a tantrum. She has a progressive program, including structured rewards, pre-planned lessons that build skills and reinforce learning step-by-step. Her style is positive and caring. I endorse Konie without any reservations. I'm so glad we found her!

Our daughter has dyscalculia, and I was at my wits end in finding someone who would be able to tutor her, think outside of the box, and help make a difference in her learning levels. I had no idea that I would strike gold in finding Konie Byrnes who not only worked her magic with our daughter, but who understood her as an individual, took time to work out what learning method worked best for her. Konie, has created a atmosphere of care, kindness, compassion and an understanding of the wonderful little human being our daughter is. Konie cares deeply about her students and that is something that we just don't see any more. Konie comes highly recommended.

Mrs. Konie is fantastic!!! My six year old has ADHD and has struggled in preschool and kindergarten as a result. His reading and writing abilities were well below the level required for a student of his age. For three moths, he worked with Mrs. Konie, twice a week, to improve these critical skills. To my surprise, my son now reads and writes. Most importantly, he enjoys the challenges of both. Thank you, Mrs. Konie.
