If you end up with a wrong website designer-like I did a few times- they can truely make your life difficult. I am blessed to have found Jon Loudan, he is peaceful, extremely knowledgeable, doesn't look at you as a walking dollar bill, he is everything that I missed badly in the designers who worked on my sites. I can't recommend him enough, wish the other guys I worked with had just one bit of his integrity.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask their age. Young designers/developers have a lot of motivation to start things and learn new things, but they do not have a lot of experience. This tends to hurt a client / provider relationship in the long run. Unfortunately, I know from experience.

When it comes to business, it is still about relationship, even in the internet business.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Learn everything you can about the new site you receive. Learn what you can change and what you need someone else to change. Don't waste your time trying to do something you have no idea about, but don't overpay someone to do something you can do yourself.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I am quick and thorough, but more than that, I listen to the client. It's important to know you are being heard and not wasting your time and breath.
