Mexican Food Catering

Since 2005, Baja's Tacos & Catering has provided the San Diego County with good authentic Mexican cuisine. We are a family-operated and -owned business with many years of experience to provide you with the best food and service.

What's a party without awesome food? We can cook up great meals (buffet style), including hotdogs, tacos, Mexican breakfast, hamburgers, birria, Mexican buffet, and even Antojitos buffet.

Our Taquiza services include the following:

- Handmade tortillas cooked on-site (flour and corn)
- Asada tacos
- Chicken tacos
- Adobada tacos
- Fish tacos
- Chorizo tacos
- Cheese for quesadillas and mulitas
- Guacamole
- Rice
- Beans
- Trims for tacos (chopped cilantro, chopped onion, lettuce, lemons, sour cream, etc.)
- Four types of salsas (mild, bandera, and super hot)

Forks, plates, and napkins are also included, as well as grilled green peppers and onions. We provide up to 5 hours of good service depending on the number of people. We have no limitations on food; you can serve or repeat as many times as you prefer.

Our food will be prepared on-site, and we use only natural ingredients to cook fresh Baja Mexican food.

  We had about fifty people at the party and everyone commented on how good the food was, and how well it was presented – along with the cooks/servers. Quite a few asked for business cards for the caterer so they could use them for upcoming events. The set up and presentation was fantastic and afterwards everything was cleaned up completely.

  The food is awesome! The home made tortillas are delicious and not too thick which tends to happen with home made tortillas. We hired Baja Tacos for our wedding and had many guests complimenting the food. People were going back for seconds and thirds. I wish I had because I was left wanting more the next day. They were on time to set up and on time to serve. Jesus was flexible in arrival time and easy to work with as our guest attendance kept increasing. It can be nerve racking using a caterer you've never used before for a big event like your wedding. I am completely satisfied that we went with Baja Tacos.

  Bajas Tacos did a great job. They may have showed up a little late but they were up and serving quickly. We had about 80 guest, most from out of state. Many times i heard people say they had been in San Diego and this was the best mexican food they had, and how fresh everything tasted. And those of who live in CA agreed that these were some damn good street tacos. Thank you for a great event and for all your help and professionalism. Great time with great people

  Bajas Tacos did a fantastic job and the food was delicicous! They arrived on time, got started right away and the food was ready exactly when scheduled. Every single guest at the party commented on how good the food was, and almost everyone had seconds (quite a few had thirds!). The food was fresh, and there was lots of it! Several friends asked for Baja Tacos information so they could use them for parties too. When I read some of the other reviews, I wondered if they were true-they are! Jesus was so easy to work with, and I know we will use Baja Tacos again.

  The team I am on at my company, had Baja's Tacos and Catering cater our outdoor team meeting. We had it buffet style, and the food was wonderfully fresh, and extremely tasty! The handmade tortillas were warm and light, the carne asada, and pollo was grilled to perfection, pico was chunky and fresh not a sodden mess. The guacamole was creamy spicy goodness! The team that delivered was on time, helpful, excited to be there and looking forward to helping in any way. Sometimes catering companies tend to act 'burdened' by serving their customers but I was really impressed how personable the team was to all of us, not just the managers. Thank you thank you thank you! I took a card and hopefully can talk our little league to have them cater the end of season party.

  Food was great, people at my event all commented on it. I would defintiley use them again, but do have small issues to comment in. I chose the delivery option and made sure they knew it was for a surprise party. They were a little late and almost got caught being there. The chips that were included were forgotten and our cheese was mixed up with another party (therefore not giving my party enough). I emailed regarding this and they apologized and admitted fault.

  I feel so fortunate to have found Bajas Tacos! Like many of you out there I searched yelp and google, but was not pleased with what I found and what others had to say. Look no further! I found Thumbtack.com and Jesus' company...everyone had the exact same experience my fiancé and I had! They were awesome!
  
  Here's the scoop: Engagement party; 60 people (only 50 RSVPd); grilled Chicken, steak and pork; tons of homemade guacamole, salsa and chips; grilled onions and veggies; rice and beans and last but not least, on-site made tortillas (corn and flour). All fresh, all homemade and all 100% delicious.
  
  Guests has thirds and fourths and could not stop raving about the food. Needless to say, not only was the food amazing and plentiful, but Jesus and his family were pleasant and professional, working behind the scenes to make the party go smoothly. They set up, served and cleaned up without any direction from me. As host, this was greatly appreciated. My only hope is that he doesn't become too busy to work with me in the future! I know my company (boss was present) is already going to hire them for our company parties. Book early because I get the sense word is getting out on them. We can't say enough praise.

  I hired baja tacos and catering for my husband's 30th birthday and everything came out perfect. The food was very good and more than enough for the 100 guest that came. There was a time that i got nervous days before the party and they calmed me down and ensured me that the food would be plenty and they were right. Not to mention that the spanish rice and handmade tortillas and horchata(spelling?) were the best! A lot of my guest ask for their business card because they were impressed by the food and how everything was set up.They put all the leftovers food into containers that we have provided and cleaned up really well before leaving. i would definitely hire them again! the price you pay is beyond worth it:)

  There is something to be said about handmade tortillas, it really does make a huge difference for a good meal. Baja's catering was really good, fresh, and authentic. Used them for a work party and did not hear one complaint about the food. We are even up in North County and despite the long drive up for delivery the food was hot and fresh.   Bajas Tacos did a wonderful job at my party, working tirelessly in spite of the rain. They came prepared with a canopy and a large table to put the food on. My guests all said that the food was great and they ate lots of it and enjoyed it all. Some wanted their card so they could hire them in the future. The food was fresh.   I was planning a wedding in my backyard on Veterans Day. A friend suggested Baja catering. I contacted them via email and the response was immediate. The price was excellent and they were very accommodating. They showed up on time, they cooked and prepared and served a beautiful buffet of Mexican delicacies. My guests raved about the food! The cost was VERY reasonable. They cleaned up everything before they left. I gave them containers and the packed up all the leftovers for us. I would hire them again and I will.   Jesus and his company got to my party about 15 min early to set up (1 Star for that!) I notice that all the salsas & guacamole was done on site as well as all the grilling of the meats (1 Star for that!). I honestly can say that he brought enough food for 50+ guest when he only quoted me for 25 (1 Star for that!) All my guest mention how good & fresh the food was comparing other Taquero they have tired (1 Star for that!). One of the things that made him different from the other taqueros hat I had consider using were that they make FLOUR tortillas. Over all I would so hire him again in heart beat!!! Now let me go and enjoy some of my leftover from my party :) (1 Star for that!)

  We recently had our daughter's wedding catered by Bajas Tacos. They did an excellent job. They were professional and super nice. We were able to sample the food before we hired them and they provided us with a delicious spread of food to sample, (which was actually a feast) They came to the reception venue early so we could go over where and how things would be set up. The food was fantastic. People were raving all night about how good it was. And the best part was we got to take home the leftovers. The price is the best I found. I would recommend them for any event. If I ever need a caterer again, I will definately use them.

  We had a wonderful experience with Bajas Tacos who catered our son's wedding reception for 200. The food was fabulous and everyone raved about the horchata and fresh flour tortillas not to mention the salsas and freshly barbequed meat. Everything was fresh and made on the premises. They were professional and took care of everything they had agreed to. The only glitch was a flat tire en route which put them a little behind but they came in raring to go. I highly recommend this reasonably priced family owned caterer.

  Called on a Sunday for them to cater a family party the following Sunday - no problem, asked for fish tacos, vegan fare, rice etc. They arrived on time, food was delicious, they provided everything .... Jesus and his family couldnt have been nicer, they cleaned up and left. All within 3 hours. Cheaper and better than taking everyone out to dinner. Fish tacos and corn tortillas were the favorite in our family. Everything seemed home made and super fresh.

  Bajas Tacos was amazing! Jesus was very easy to contact and communicate with. His group arrived promptly to the my daughter's 2nd birthday party and prepared EVERYTHING from scratch. I'm from LA county and was having my daughter's party in Carlsbad, which they had no hesitation to drive out to from Chula Vista. I have been to many parties that had taco catering and I have to say that my guest and I agreed that Bajas Tacos was by far the best we've had. We were very impressed that they cut all the salsas and guacamole right there and made fresh corn and flour tortillas. The meat was not pre-cooked (which many companies do) and was being grilled on site. Everything was prepared on time and was so very delicious. I also have to mention that their portions are plentiful. It's too bad that Bajas Tacos only does San Diego County because I would use them for every event!

  We contacted Jesus to cater my wife's graduation party after getting a recommendation about Bajas Tacos from a friend, and after having to postpone from the original date (my wife got ill), the party went off on June 25. The food and service was fabulous. I received numerous comments from my guests: "Best tacos I have ever had!", "The food is excellent", Every thing about the food is great, so fresh", "Reminds me of my mom's cooking!", and on and on. Great service, good communications, wonderful food, reasonable cost all made for a great experience and a successful party. We will be using them again, and recommending them to everyone.

  Incredible Food & Service. We recently had Baja's Tacos cater for a graduation party. They were punctual, friendly, and extremely hard-working. We were amazed that they made everything fresh on site at our home; from pressing the dough for hand-made tortillas, to preparing fresh guacamole. The best part was how amazing the food was. Everyone at the party commented that these were the best street tacos they've ever had. When everything was finished, they packed us up the leftovers, and cleaned up so well you wouldn't know they were there. We would gladly have these guys back for future parties. Thank you for providing such great food and service!

  The folks at Bajas Tacos did an AMAZING job catering an event that I just had. They supplied street tacos for 80+ people and everything went perfect. They prepared all the ingredients on-site (including making the tortillas!) and cooked everything fresh right there. Everyone loved it! I recommend Jesus and the team at Bajas Tacos very much!

  Best Service and Food!! Having 2 parties back to back could not have been easier. I hired Bajas Catering for both after another company cancelled last minute and was pleasantly surprised. My 120+ guests were impressed by the food. Authentic Mexican with hand made fresh tortillas. The service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating to all guest requests. If you are looking to hire a catering company look no further you have found it and will not be disappointed!

  We hired Baja Tacos last year in Jan for my dad's 70t birthday surprise bash. Everything came out great. The meat, chicken, salsas, guacamole and the hand made tortillas. Everything was barbequed there and everything was fresh and delicious. All of our guests kept on saying how good the food was. We said we will definatly hire him again and we did just last week for my god daughter's 1st birthday and baptism. They were early to the event and they were ready to serve by 3:30 p.m. as we had requested and again all we got was good compliments on how delicious the food was. I wouldn't think twice about hiring Baja Tacos for any events that we have...

  On Sunday 4/11 was my grandson 2nd Birthday, and Baja Tacos did an excellent job, we had tacos, and many types of salsa, the tortillas were hand made, everything was fresh. My guests were very pleased with the food, service and the taste of the meat was great. Jesus and his team were able to have the food ready on time. This is a plus, punctuality is very important for me.
  Baja tacos made the food for my grandson 1st B-day too. So, my guests and family will be looking forward to have them again. See you soon Baja tacos.

  Bajas Tacos and Catering came to my daughter's 8th birthday party...we have used them before and there is a reason why i keep on calling them... Their food is the best flavorful meat I have ever tasted. They kept coming up to us asking us if we were ok and if we needed anything...they made the tortillas right on site which makes all the difference in taste. They are very reasonably priced and the biggest plus for me is the fact that they had everything freshly prepared and ready to go which prevented long lines and wait times as I'e seen at other parties. Seamless service, on time and worth every penny... We didn't have to worry at all about our guests getting fed. I will use them over and over again and refer them as well!!

  We used Baja's Tacos & Catering to cater for over 300 people at our Chili Cook Off in October 2009 and 2010. I have to say, these were the best tacos we have ever had. The food was fresh, tortillas were made on the spot. So far since the event, we have had multiple clients request our caterer's name. Great job!

  The service amazing, everything fresh, great communication, I had the chance to taste their tacos before hiring. I book them for an end-of-season soccer party and it was a success for kids and adults everybody loved the food and I was congratulated for the choice. Thank you very much for your service we didn't have to worry about ANYTHING but enjoy the delicious tacos..will highly recommend them to anybody.   Baja's Tacos catered our tailgate party at Qualcomm Stadium... he made everything from SCRATCH, food was delicious and service was great. All of our friends were so happy with the food.
