Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Always make sure the service provider has a license to do business. They need to produce a Bureau of Electronic & Appliance Repair Number at least, but it is recommended they also have a business license of some type to operate a business. Check the BBB and their rating, plus check their reputation on sites like Angie's List, Google, Yahoo, and Yelp. Most honest repair places will not charge an hourly rate, but instead a fixed rate so you don't get overwhelmed with a high cost.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. We guarantee all our work for 30 days, where most other competitors (60% in our findings) do not. We also have fixed rates vs. hourly rates. We always go the extra mile with our service calls.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. A lot of our competitors like to resolve your major computer issues with just erasing the hard drive and reloading the operating system. We only do that around 1% of the time, especially if the computer is very old. Normally, we can always find a solution that will never delete your programs or personal data so you are not stuck starting over from scratch.
Be aware of our competitors with mediocre technicians who think they know what they are doing or even telling you over the phone. Most of them are incorrect and are really looking to take your money with scare tactics. We get told by our clients some crazy information that is just ridiculous.
When shopping for honest and reputable computer repair companies always look at their track record. If they are not listed in the BBB then that should be your first warning sign. Also do a search for the company online and see what people are saying about them. If you can’t find them online then be cautious.
Finally, always make sure they do not charge hourly and have a good warranty. 60% of our competitors do not warranty a Virus or Malware removal past 3 days. We always offer a solid 30 day warranty for all services completed.
