Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We do projects of all sizes,
This year most are Kitchen & Bath remodels with a few maintenance/ service contracts for property management company's apartment make ready and the like.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Hiring a Licensed Contractor may cost a bit more, but the end result is what makes all the difference. High quality work and accountability.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Measure twice, cut once.

Project planning and material scheduling are key.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Do some research, for three very good reasons, not only does it tend to give you a better idea of what products are available and how they may be used for your project Also it should help provide you with a realistic view what can be accomplished and help you get a basic Idea as to the costs so you will be able to set project parameters.It will also serve to give your contractor a good starting point to estimate from.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My commitment to customer service and my ability to streamline projects.
To make the remodeling experience a pleasant one, by being dependable and professional.
My knowledge and hands on experience span over 25 years in the building industry.
I have worked as a Lead Carpenter & or Foreman on such projects as;
The Disney Imaginarium (Southern, Calif).
to the Heavenly Gondola and Grand Residence(Tahoe- Northern, Calif)
I have been licensed since 2001.
I have worked on Award winning homes; In Carmichael, Roseville, and Granite Bay.
People spend so much of their lives in their in homes. And If , I can improve the quality of their lives by helping make their home a nicer environment to raise their family and enjoy their life. That has always been H.C.S. goal.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Transforming the customers vision into reality.

Knowing we can overcome any challenges that may come up on the project in a timely manner with a minimum of stress providing a excellent result for everyone involved in the project.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Hundreds, Because every client is unique!
over coming the challenges of each project is just part of the job and most my clients find remodeling their homes to be a fun adventure. They almost all seem to like to take lots of pictures,and all have their own favorite story to tell about their remodel project and the part they played, Which is as it should be because after all it was their vision to begin with.

I am always grateful when they chose me to help them bring their dream into a reality.Because I find it very satisfying to help them accomplish their goals and exceed their expectations it is a wonderful process.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. As a rule we are highly trained, and have spent many years learning our craft and how to handle all the variables involved in completing a project.
Not just the physical aspects of the project,but the many other things that are required to complete a project on time and correctly, From ordering the materials to dealing with subcontractors and warranty information.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Originally, I started with a background in A/C& R but I found that was just one piece of the puzzle, What I really enjoyed were the challenges of taking a project from a vision to a reality,And what could be better than being a part of making my clients home dreams come true ??

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I recently did particularly challenging full kitchen remodel for a retired military couple. They had been waiting many years to remodel their kitchen as it was a older home their were many challenges to over come (mostly electrical some design problems)we were able not only to keep their original vision of a country kitchen intact.also we were able to incorporate all the modern design convinces of a new Kitchen.(A new arched entry, A new Garden window, modern lighting, energy saving appliances and best of all we came in on time and on budget.The clients love their new kitchen and I feel blessed that I was part of such a wonderful project for such nice people.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I take green and sustainable building seminars twice a year.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Going green is big!!

Sustainable building trend is really catching on with manufactures and the general public alike and will be great for the industry and benefit the planet as a whole
