I'm an experienced guitar teacher who has had tons of success in working with students of all ages. My services focus on the individual goals of the student. Most new guitar players just want to learn how to play their favorite song, so I help them to be able to do that.

This is probably what most new players love most about working with me as I specialize in teaching songs of your choice. Others want to learn how to jam, so we can do that as well.

I also teach how to read music if you desire. I teach out of my home in Citrus Heights. I provide a safe and fun environment for you to learn. I work with 3 local charter schools, so all my finger printing and background information is current.

Please contact me and see how you can begin making music faster than you think! Guitar lessons are 30 minutes weekly.

Individuals and group lessons are available.

Rich Ayala has been the best guitar teacher my son has ever had. Rich has taught him more in two years than he learned in three years with other instructors.

Rich has a way of letting the student learn the rudiments of the guitar while teaching music the student wants to play.

We also like him on a personal basis.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for a guitar teacher who has your goals in mind. Do they understand what you hope to get out of the lessons and do they focus on encouraging you to reach your goals. A good music teacher should be easy to get along with and should have a good track record of success. Coaching is an important part of teaching so look for someone who wants you to see you succeed.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I would want to know if was ok to be a total beginner. That is often the first concern most new players have. "Can you help me? I know nothing about guitar" Yep! Of course we can help. Also I would want to know if my guitar is ok to start with or what kind of guitar I should begin on. Best answer is bring what you have to the first lesson and we can talk about what is best once we see the kind or quality of guitar you have.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Always feel free to ask any questions you have. Feel free to ask whatever makes you feel comfortable. Questions like:
Have you worked with beginners before?
Are you patient?
What styles do you teach?
If I've played Guitar Hero will that help me?
Can you teach me how to do a guitar solo?
Can you teach me my favorite song?
How long before I can play a song?
