Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I would suggest that the customer look at how long the business has been around and if the business has not only the expertise the customer is seeking but expertise in related areas as well. Sometimes that additional expertise can benefit the customer in a number of ways. Additionally, I would make sure the provider is insured and many small tech providers are not insured for both general liability and errors & omission.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Not every provider is the same. A lot of tech providers are individuals who provide services on their free time. I would ask if the provider does this full-time or part-time.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What other related expertise does your company provide? Do you have general liability and errors & omission insurance? Could you provide proof of coverage? Are you licensed to do business?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. When requesting any type of services from a provider it is best to be as specific as possible. More more detail the better the understanding the provider has and as a result the better the outcome.
